Well I haven't been getting on very well with
Tomb Raider: Legend, I'm stuck and don't really know what to do. Well, I know what to do, I'm doing the right thing, I just can'd
do it. I feel pathetic and it makes me sad that I can't do it... which is hardly the point of computer games, is it? Well, maybe it is. I don't know. I know it's really satisfying when you get past a hard bit, but really, this is silly. It's a control problem I think, maybe I just can't use the X-box 360 controller. Drat. I'm stuck on the boss fight in England; I know I have to bring the cages down on the leviathan's head but I can't do it. Sometimes I manage to do a couple, which suggests it should be possible, but I've spent ages doing it and never managed more than 3 out of 4. Either I miss with the grapple or I don't do it in time or other horrible things. Aaargh...
It's very hot here at the moment. Hottest yet, probably, and very humid. There was supposed to be a massive storm, and though it thundered and lightened (hmm) it didn't actually materialise anything impressive enough to merit the severe weather warning that was issued.
I did clean out Hovis though, and we moved him downstairs into the living room where it's cooler. He's got half a coconut in his cage at the moment. It's quite big for him to cope with. :)
Computer seems much happier with Mozilla intead of Explorer. I'm happy to think that Dexter's just showing that he likes open source stuff instead of things produced by massive corporate entities. I don't really mind if he has a problem with internet explorer. And Mozilla is actually quite good. Has some handy options. And looks a lot like Netscape, which is to be expected, I suppose.
I should probably play PC games now I have a super computer, anyway. But I hate to think I've given up on
Tomb Raider, especially after that mini-rant I blogged a while back. Everything's so hard.
And I still hate that the BBC aren't repeating
Neighbours in the evenings. Boo. Silly football.
