Just wanted to say... Pimp my Snack is hilarious! Read about it in the paper and, well, it's amazing! LOL

Not sure I fancy a giant Polo whose ingredients include toothpaste. Heh.

Hooray, for the first time in ages I actually feel almost completely well! Perhaps when it stops raining so incessantly I might start walking home from the city centre again. Although having said that it's not raining today, just looking rather grey.

I've been fairly busy with church stuff lately. Easter week there were united church things going on, so I went to the three evening ones. Didn't leave much time to do anything other than eat and have a drink between work and the meetings, but Rob had gone to Spring Harvest so I was all alone at home anyway. And it meant I got to see Phil and Emma (who we bought our house from) at the Thursday one, which was nice.

I've used the word 'nice' too much, how awful.

I learnt a new word the other day: octangular. Still trying to figure out exactly how that's different from octagonal. I think octagonal means the angles have to be the same and octangular just means there are 8 angles? Possibly.

Easter weekend I went to Essex to stay with my family for a few days. Dad came and picked me up Friday and we had toasted hot cross buns before setting off. (Yum, one of my favourite lunch foods!) Saturday I went shopping with my brother, so we ended up in Virgin buying lots of £3.99 sale CD's and DVD's. I bought Brazil, which was actually only £2.99, as well as Jools Holland, Billy Joel, Delirious, Cake and The Kinks CD's. I had never heard of the Cake one but it's pretty recent. I was very excited by the presence of these CD's in the sale rack, and indeed I still have an oddly warm sense of satisfaction that I found them. It took a lot of riffling to find them all. Hooray!

Sunday I went to John (my brother's) church, then we went to The Museum of Power. Wow, that's a scary website. Animated gifs, mwahaha. The Museum was where I had my wedding reception. You know, the one with the pirates. Anyway, there was an Olde Tyme Fayre (apparently differently spelt with varying amounts of E's depending who writes it). There were quite a few classic cars and things. It was fun. John and I had pancakes from the French pancake lady (she didn't call them crepes, in case you were wondering). It was mostly fun because I was near my family, but still. I liked the Triumph TR2's. Rob turned up in the evening, tired from his eventful week. We watched the Spring Harvest thing that had been on the BBC that morning and actually managed to see Rob amongst the thousands of people in the Big Top. Amazing.

Monday we had a bit of a family jam session in the morning (Dad varied between his guitar and mandolin - yikes), then visited grandparents in the afternoon. Tuesday I went to the car boot sale at the football ground with Mum (bought a cool framed pic of Damon Hill!), we had a bit of a drive around, then came home. After lunch Rob drove us back to Leicester. Had a day off Wednesday. My Nan got taken into hospital in the morning - she hadn't been well for ages. Apparently she'd had a heart attack at Christmas and since then her heart hadn't been properly. She'd accumulated so much fluid that her lungs were only working at 50% capacity. :(

So I've actually managed two full days of work this week. Hooray!

Rob's still in bed and it's 11:23. Perhaps I should poke him. I had plans of getting things done today. Bah.

Bye for now!

Seem to be a lot of these dancing druids around lately... Most odd. Posted by Picasa

Sorry I haven't been blogging again, I haven't been feeling very well. This month (last month?) I've been off work quite a lot. I keep going back and catching something else. Went to the doctor's again yesterday and she said it was a flu type virus that should hopefully just go away. I keep coughing, all chesty and gooey, which is horrible. Oh well. They did a blood test as well in case but I expect it'll come back normal. It took three goes to find my veins, apparently I'm particularly awkward. She was very good though, the nurse, I haven't got any bruises.

So I've been watching quite a lot of TV and reading, since I don't feel like doing much. Not even playing WoW. Moving makes me cough more so I'm becoming a blob, probably. We bought The Brothers Grimm and Serenity, so I could watch those at some point. Though I expect Rob would like to watch them with me.

I can't believe that Brothers Grimm only gets 5.9 out of 10 at the IMDb, that's awful! It's a brilliant film! Is Terry Gilliam stuff only appreciated by a specific group of people?!

I have to buy stuff to make a new computer at some point, not sure I'll have enough money until I get paid again. I might do I suppose. Depends what I get. Was thinking of a Biostar SFF case with a dual core AMD 64 processor and a decent graphics card. Something good for gaming. I'm a bit fed up with this laptop, it doesn't exactly like playing games. Boo hoo.

At least I discovered Monk, which is one of the best TV shows I've discovered in a while. Lunchtimes on BBC 1, and also on in the evenings on Hallmark I think. Great. :D

He has a bowler hat, go figure.
