Well, just got back from a two day trip away to the Chepstow area. Rob took me away to try and cheer me up, which was nice. We stayed in the George Hotel at Tintern, which was just down the road from the Abbey. I took a couple of pictures, so I will post something in a minute via the lovely Picasa. I also have pictures of the inside of an Asda depot in Chepstow - another reason we went to that particular area - but they're not as picturesque.
I had room service for the first time ever, though it was mainly because I couldn't go and eat because my head REALLY hurt and all I wanted to do was lie there and try and sleep it off. But room service was fun. And also I went through a car wash, and that was the first time ever too. I'd been annoyed at the state of the car for ages and Rob wouldn't wash it, so I told him I'd like that done for my Valentine's Day present. It's much better, I don't mind touching it now. (It was REALLY gross.)
We didn't go to many places, but we drove around a lot. We spent quite a while in Monmouth, looking in shops and eating lunch in a little cafe. Might have been nicer if school children hadn't been descending on all the eateries in search of lunch, but still. You can't have everything. The discount book and jigsaw shop was good. :)
And today we went to look at the Abbey before coming home. It rained a lot as soon as we went in, and stopped raining pretty much when we came out. Boo!

Monmouth? Wasn't that the home of Amiga Format?
I'm *so* sad ;-)
It would have been - along with anything else by Future Publishing.
