First of all,
EARTHQUAKE!!! It woke me up, it was scary, I had no idea what was happening. There was a rumbling noise and all the metal coathangers in the wardrobe were banging together. Definitely the biggest earthquake I've ever experienced!
Secondly,
the first trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is out and it looks good! Woo!
Thirdly, I'm trying the beta for
Firefox 3, the new location bar features are interesting. Not totally sure how useful they are but I expect I'll make some sort of decision after a while. :)
I bought
The Feeling's new album ('Join with us'), it's really good! I'm glad it's really good, I thought it couldn't possibly be anywhere near as good as their first album. Phew! I have been a little disappointed by Jack Johnson's new album 'Sleep through the static', though it may be a grower. We'll see.
If I could play bass like Sophie Ellis-Bextor's fella (he's so fast!) I'd be, well, I'd probably be a professional bass player. ;)
I was very excited last night when I was watching the NME TV Channel - I saw a video that was filmed on Southend Pier!
You can watch it on YouTube. It's by a band I've never heard of, called 'Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong', and it's called 'Lonely Buoy'. It's not bad, though I did mainly enjoy it because it was Southend Pier. :)
I was also excited recently by the discovery of
Sleeveface, which most people know about by now, I think. It seems to have been on the news quite a lot. Here are some of my favourites from their Flickr pool:
Exotica /
Rolf Harris /
Elvis /
Kylie /
Emerson Lake & Palmer.
I have seen some totally brilliant ones that don't seem to be on there, bit of a phenomenon really. Bit like ratmouse. (Okay so that joke has fairly narrow appeal, but some people will get it. Hehe.)
Anyway, I've been playing Battlefield 2 a bit, WoW a bit, posting at
Conquest of Earth, and I actually watched some Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis. Woo! And I've probably done some other stuff too. ;)
Bye for now...
