I'm off work again. Well, I say 'again', I suppose I haven't been off work
too much recently. But I seem to be off more than I used to be. Although having said that, it's not like I worked a lot for a while, what with being a student again. It's just since working as a planning archaeologist. Maybe it's stress from all the wedding preparations and things! I don't know really. I feel like I need a holiday. I guess my honeymoon will have to do. :)
It's nothing serious, btw, just feeling very lethargic. I slept a lot yesterday, and I still feel tired. Odd.
Anyway, I was right about the
Argos book. They'd stopped selling eight things, and some of the other things had changed urls, so I had to alter those. Drat. The online wedding list's still okay, it's just the printed lists we sent out were already out of date by the time people received them. Boo!
Things are generally coming together though. I'm not sure what else I have to do. We sorted out the service, kind of... the songs we wanted and the order, etc. There are games to organise for the reception. I could make a treasure map this afternoon, I suppose, if I feel like it. You have to have inspiration for these things, I think. I thought it'd be cool if everyone marked where they thought the treasure was on the map, and the person closest won a prize. I think it was Richard Knox's idea at work, not one of my original thoughts, but still. I'm hoping they'll have lots of activities I can steal, since they're doing a pirate activity day next week at the
Donington-le-Heath Manor House.
Work's a bit uncertain, since my contract's coming up to its end (again). I'm contracted until the end of September, but it looks like I'll either be in post a bit longer, or I'll be moved over to do
SMR work. That might lead onto a job doing that, which would be good. I'd have to be interviewed for it though. Yikes!
Apart from all the weddingy things,
Rob bought me
City of Heroes, so I've been playing that. I could make a screen capture of my hero, so you can see how scary she is. ;)
Bye for now then...
I have been mostly.... READING: warlock (wilbur smith) / WATCHING: restoration (bbc 2) / neighbours (bbc 1)
