Been a while since I last blogged, and things have happened! First of all, I had my 20 week scan and Bleeble is doing fine - he was moving around so much the lady was finding it hard to describe what we were seeing and carry out the required measurements! And he is a he, so that grammatical problem is solved. I can feel him a lot now, I have no idea what he's doing. Somersaults, most likely. You can see scan pictures of Bleeble here.
Secondly, we bought a MacBook Pro, which is very expensive and so far a bit confusing. I used Macs when I was at Uni and liked them, but they were old Macs, not like this beast of a machine. So far I have been annoyed by the fact you can't easily set a reply to address in Mail, though you can set one in a complicated behind the scenes manner. Grr. Anyway, Lion (the OS) is interesting, lets you do lots of multi-touch gestures on the mousepad. Just have to get everything set up now. I hate getting things set up. I did quite like my desktop, though it was increasingly slow (probably nothing Rob couldn't have solved if he'd tried). Windows 7 is pretty good, all things considered. I suppose after Vista anything would seem amazing. ;)
From 19th-24th August we were at Momentum, which is a Christian event a bit like Spring Harvest (but for young people). It was billed as Students, 20s and 30s, but we all felt old. There were lots of seminars to go to and two big main meetings a day. The meetings were tremendously powerful, fills you with Christian fervour, but it's hard to maintain that level of passion when you get home! Rob and I both felt that God wanted us to do something, though we're not sure what. Will have to keep praying about it, I suppose. We had to camp, which wasn't too bad. We bought air beds. I don't think I would have coped with my pregnancy pains otherwise! It was fun camping with John, Mat and Ali. I'm not really a big fan of camping, but it was good.
23rd August our friends Danny and Megan had their baby, Ewan. Ewan's the first of a new bunch of church babies - it'll be Ali next and then me. Things didn't go so well for Megan but they're all at home now, getting used to each other. Ewan's pretty cute..!
Hmm, what else... the Belgian GP was exciting, lots of overtaking. Shame the result doesn't really reflect the excitement. It's hard to see anyone beating Vettel for the championship.
Think that's about it!
