Aargh a whole month since I last blogged... kept leaving it since I thought there was an increasing amount to blog about, but I guess I've forgotten enough now to make it a bit shorter. ;)

August was a month of birthdays. First of all it was Rob's dad's birthday and his sister's, then it was mine... I am now 31! My annual trip to the dentist resulted in me having to have my first filling, which was not fun (I'm terrified of dentists) but the lady was really nice to me. I guess when you're as old as I am stuff just starts to wear out. Heheh.

For my birthday I had a few friends round on the Saturday and we played games and ate jacket potatoes. Then, on the Sunday, Mum, Dad and John, Rob and I went to Santa Pod for Mini in the Park. Yay for minis! It was fun watching the new minis facing off the old minis on the drag strip. :)

I think it was on the 7th that we bought our new hamster, who is called Hugo. To begin with he was completely terrified of everyone and everything, scarily bouncing off all the surfaces in the cage when he was spooked. He seems a lot better now, which is good, I didn't really know what to do if he didn't get better. Are there hamster psychiatrists?

I went to various leaving dos for my friend Lucy, who has now left to move to Istanbul (not Constantinople). I will miss her a lot, ho hum. At least she managed to have lots of parties before she left, and there may be more to come!

Went to see The Expendables, which made me laugh. Good old fashioned action film, less computer generated special effects, more 80s heroes. Woo!

We had a church fun day on the 22nd, photos of which you can see here. The weather was good and the gladiator pole was certainly very popular...

The bank holiday weekend was interesting since we went to North 2010. It was camping, and during packing for camping I managed to pull a muscle in my side/back. It hurt so much... The first night camping I kept waking up and crying. (Sorry Rob!) We went out and bought heat patches, painkillers and a hot water bottle and things got a bit easier. The weekend was odd, I'm not quite sure what to make of it. It had church style meetings with everyone, with singing and talks, and seminars. It also had a terrible gale at one point, when various people's tents broke in the wind! Lots of extra pegs were used, and guy ropes, etc.

We had a reply from the complaint we sent to Ansa, where they (basically) said they hadn't done anything wrong. The incorrect exhaust mounting was their supplier's fault, not theirs (never mind they should have been able to tell it wasn't right when fitting it). And so on. Ho hum. I'm almost more annoyed than if I just hadn't bothered complaining. They offered us a free MOT but I wanted an apology, not free stuff. Boo.

Hmm... the last thing I will mention is my wedding anniversary. Rob and I have now been married for 6 years! (Wow, how did that happen.) Entertainingly, Rob had agreed to go camping with my brother, having forgotten what date our anniversary was. But they had a good time. And we went out for a slightly disappointing chinese meal when he'd returned. :)

So, that's about it.
