Have been getting a bit Stargatey again lately. I recovered my Stargate fics from my now defunct Fun Factory website and put them onto the Alpha Gate fanfic website. You can find them here. They're all on there, including the Indy one I posted here. I had forgotten how insane some of the fanfic challenges were. The Madness Trilogy is my epic work, it's long! And not bad, I'd forgotten what happened and quite enjoyed reading it. :D

Also I was off work a couple of days so I watched a lot of Stargate Atlantis. I've watched all but one episode of Series 3 now, and I have Series 4 waiting. Yay! Although I'm not so keen about Carter being in charge. I liked Dr Weir. Oh well. Atlantis was cool. Though my favourite Stargate baddie was always the Goa'uld, who aren't in it. Though I did like the Wraith. They became much less dangerous than they were originally, kind of like the Goa'uld did, which was a bit rubbish. I guess they think things become stale if you have the same baddie for too long. Bah.

It was a bit scary how much I knew about Stargate, reading the old fics. Especially the Madness Trilogy ones. I noticed I'd put a couple on fanfiction.net years ago and someone had reviewed one criticising me for inaccuracies - they said Goa'uld detect each other by the protein marker and I'd said it was the naquadah. I doubted myself (I can't really remember), but the Stargate wiki (such things did not exist at the time!) proves me right. Ha. It would be fun to do some more writing, I think.

I got around to sorting out my simming account at The Alpha Site, too. Took me long enough! The other RP I was involved with sort of disappeared and everyone was supposed to go there instead. Doesn't look like a lot has been going on. Hopefully things will pick up.

I was becoming a bit annoyed by the way I can't log into things any more. I signed up with Yahoo ages ago, maybe as long as 10 years, and I can't figure out how to log in now. I had to set up a new account to log into Flickr. It's annoying though since I still get Yahoogroups e-mails, but I can't find out what I used to log in! Stupid thing. Stuff has been taken over/merged etc too many times since then. The internet moves on. I can't prove I'm me, even though e-mail gets sent to that address. *sigh*

I'm sort of looking forward to two Stargate related developments: Stargate Worlds and Stargate Universe. It amuses me that Robert Carlyle is in it - it amuses me because (apparently) he turned down being Doctor Who because Stargate offered him more money! He's a proper actor, fancy him being in Stargate... Well I never. Apparently it started filming on Feb 18th, which is yesterday. Oooh. I wonder whether Stargate Worlds will ever happen - it's been on the cards for ages. It probably won't be that good anyway. Most MMOs aren't. But hey.
