So, did I have fun with my parental units? Of course I did. And John, my brother, he was pretty fun too. We did lots of exciting things, notably go to the local motorshow and try out all the new cars. None of us can afford one, but it was fun pretending. I miss them all, I suppose it's my fault for moving, but I wouldn't have a husband if I hadn't come here, so... maybe I'll get at least some of them to move here. Mainly John. Because what he does for a living is in demand up here. :D

The car of the day was the Citroen Berlingo Multispace - "it's like an aeroplane inside"! Phil asked why it had so many 12 volt sockets - it's so you can plug essential things in like a PS2 with monitor! He asked like it was a bad thing, but how can you have too many 12 volt sockets? You could put little Christmas lights and trees everywhere and be the most festive vehicle on the road! It has cargo holds everywhere (this was the accessorised version with a special aeroplane-esque roof), and directional air vents, and pull down bits to do your colouring on, and a CD dispenser. And if you were thinking it doesn't look cool, well, maybe it doesn't. But Jeremy Clarkson liked it, and he wouldn't drive around in just anything.

The podcasting lark seems to work pretty well, although I'm not sure that what was on Chris Moyles's 'best of' was actually the best of his show. I know, it must be hard to choose. But I remember him as being funnier. I miss Mark and Lard, though, and they were moved on from Radio 1 for being too old. Boo hoo. I suppose that must mean I'm getting old.

I did have a musical epiphany, though, which may well mean I am getting old. I heard/saw a song on a TV music channel and thought it was really good. And it turned out it was Oasis. Not a typical Oasis song, and with less of the obvious Gallagher brothers in the video and more of Rhys Ifans. It's a hilarious undertaker dancing video, and the song's good. The reason this is an epiphany is that it's Oasis, and I've always been a Blur girl. Okay, I bet none of the youngsters coming fresh to this stuff realise the Oasis/Blur divide, but it's hard to bring myself to buy Oasis. Of course, there's the fact Blur have sort of split up, what with Graham leaving, and Damon doing the whole Gorillaz thing and voicing a cartoon singer. The world is a strange place, isn't it?

The song was 'The Importance of Being Idle', incidentally. You can watch the video here.

The reason I am blogging instead of being at work is that I went to the dentist. I haven't been for 5 years or so, but it looks like things are okay. He said my wisdom teeth should be alright and that they don't like to take them out if they're not being a pain, and that was my main worry. I have to go back again in a couple of weeks to go through the x-ray I took and have them cleaned. I was panicking about it all a lot, so hooray!

Had a good CD day yesterday, too. MVC were having a sale! I bought Rob the Marilyn Manson 'best of', and I bought Simple Kid's album for £1.99 and Travis's '12 Memories' for £2.99. That's cheaper than singles! Simple Kid did a song called 'Drugs' that I heard a while back and thought was genius, so hopefully the whole album's good. Yay!

Probably enough blogging then, don't want to bore you all. :D
