Aaargh, I've been off all week... seems like I'm ill loads lately. This time I managed to get the flu. I thought it was a cold, but it was getting worse and worse. Monday night Rob thought I'd gone and made a hot water bottle in the night but it was me, boiling hot. It wasn't nice. I went to see the Doctor Wednesday, and she told me to go home and go to bed. She gave me a note and told me not to go to work until Monday. It made me feel slightly less bad about not going to work.

I made the appointment a while ago for other reasons, most of which couldn't be dealt with for various reasons, one being I was ill so things like my blood pressure was out anyway. Well, I suppose it might not be because I'm ill, it could be because my blood pressure actually is high and I'm going to die. I have to make an appointment to go back and see the nurse either next week or the week after, when I'm slightly healthier. Probably. :)

So I've spent the week watching daytime TV and DVD's, reading Sherlock Holmes books and playing World of Warcraft. Pretty interesting game. I've made a few characters now, an Orc warrior called Magenta, an Undead rogue called Kara (after Kara Milovy in The Living Daylights) and a Tauren hunter called Twofeathers. The hunter presently has a pet called Jess, because I was watching Postman Pat at the time. Hehe. I also made a Troll mage called Kassandra, but I wasn't enjoying playing her, partly because you have to do all the same quests as a starter orc, which I'd already done with Magenta.

I watched the first half of Season One of The Pretender, which I have on French DVD (it's not out in the UK). I wanted to get the second half, but it's £30, which is a lot of money really. They're releasing the whole first series soon in America, and that's only $30 for the whole series - half the price! I suppose postage might be a bit dearer. Also, I'd have to buy a Region X thing for the PS2 so I could play American DVD's. It's all very confusing.

I haven't watched the whole of Season Two of Alias, and I bought that on DVD ages ago. I don't normally have time to watch things. I could watch stuff today, I suppose, but I'll probably end up playing WoW at least a bit. I'm either going to have to give up 18 hours of my life to watch Alias or figure out where I did watch it up to before it was moved about on TV and I lost track of things.

Since Harriet mentioned her hamster, I should probably mention Hovis. (Yes, James, we did go with your name, how could we not?) He really likes his new cage. I bought him a new wheel since the one that came with the cage was a bit stiff, and he's running about in it again. He's also using each floor for different things, and likes hiding in the tunnels that go up to each levels. He's very cute. :)

Maybe I should go and do something. I was researching things for an essay I have to write for this Christian Bible course thing I'm doing. Well, I don't have to write an essay, I don't even have to do the questions that were suggested as an alternative, but still. I thought it might be interesting. Probably won't end up doing it... Ah well.

I have been mostly.... READING: sherlock holmes books! / WATCHING: stargate (sky 1); stargate atlantis (sky 1); neighbours (bbc 1); bargain hunt (bbc 1) / PLAYING: world of warcraft / LISTENING: love, music, angel, baby (gwen stefani)
